See Something, Say Something

These words have been used by CPD for some time.  At one point it was suggested we have some yard signs to remind residents to call if they see something out of the norm.

I believe the majority of Sharon Woods residents do this, but I just want to remind everyone.  You know when something isn’t right – i.e.

You know when a situation warrants a call to 9-1-1 or the radio dispatcher 614-645-4545.

1.  A  vehicle that stopped at your neighbors & taken the package just after the UPS truck left:  get a description & license # and call CPD.

2.  During school hours, you see kids hanging around your house – call CPD

3.  You see an individual walking up and down your street appearing to look at houses.  Call CPD

4.  You have someone soliciting at your door and they are trying to pressure you OR they do not have a license displayed to solicit.  Call CPD.

5.  You are working in your yard & someone stops to ask you directions or for money, get a description and call CPD.

You know when a situation warrants a call to 9-1-1 or the radio dispatcher 614-645-4545.

Also if you give the police a description of person(s) and vehicles then they can be looking for them and won’t necessarily stop at your house.  Remember they have vehicle accidents, shootings, etc to respond to so as much information we can give them will help.
